PlayStation fanboys believe that leaked footage of the Xbox Series X exclusive Redfall alpha is proof that the PlayStation 5 is superior.

In development by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, Redfall is a vampire-centric first-person shooter with a strong emphasis on exploration and combat. The game is scheduled to be released in Summer 2022 for exclusively the Xbox Series X|S consoles, as well as for Microsoft Windows computers.

Redfall development footage, as well as some interesting information, has leaked despite the game’s release being a year away. PlayStation fanboys are exploiting the leaked footage as evidence that their system of choice is superior to Microsoft’s.

PlayStation fanboys are comparing the leaked early development footage graphics to pre-rendered footage from Naughty Dog’s AAA PlayStation 4 exclusive The Last of Us Part II, claiming that Xbox Series X|S is uncapable of even matching last generation hardware in of graphics.

However, many individuals have stated that comparing footage from a game that is still in the early stages of production to a AAA PlayStation 4 title is not a fair comparison and have categorically denied the accusations as an attempt to tarnish the Xbox Series X|S system.

Others have pointed out that Naughty Dog’s big budget exclusive The Last of Us Part II in-game graphics are not as impressive as Ninja Theories’ indie multiplatform title Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice released on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to overwhelmingly positive reviews and although the game was made by an indie developer on a microbudget (USD$10 million) of about 10% of The Last of Us Part II’s budget, it rivaled and even outperformed the PlayStation exclusive in many ways.

Even though Ninja Theory made one of the best PlayStation 3 exclusives (Heavenly Sword), the highly anticipated sequel to Hellblade; Senua’s Saga will be a Microsoft exclusive and will not be releasing on the PlayStation 5.

The trailer for the Ninja Theories Microsoft exclusive game Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga looks amazing and very lifelike and Epic Games have confirmed that the trailer was running in real-time, which means you are looking at the in-game graphics. Epic used the words “unmatched real-time character quality” when describing the game.  That should prove that the Xbox Series X|S can definitely give the the PlayStation 5 a run for its money.

Although Hellblade II doesn’t have a release date, Arkane Studios’ Redfall is set to release exclusively on Xbox Series X|S consoles in late 2022. And considering the quality of the studios past games (ie. Dishonored, Prey and Deathloop), we can expect the game to look as amazing as the trailer.
